ABC Endorces Don Bacon

The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Cornhusker Chapter today endorsed Don Bacon’s (R-Papillion) candidacy in the election for Nebraska’s 2nd District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Nebraska’s building community and families don’t need another career politician representing them in Congress, they need a principled and proven leader like Don Bacon,” said ABC Cornhusker President Anne Klute. “Don’s leadership and dedication to serving his country through his nearly 30 career in the U.S. Air Force and his common-sense approach to governing will be invaluable assets to Nebraskans and we are proud to support him.
“Contractors are being smothered by far too many policies flooding out of Washington, from an outdated and convoluted tax code to an overreaching regulatory system,” said Klute. “Local job creators are being held back by Washington’s failed policies. Don’s commitment to free enterprise and to creating a level playing field where businesses can compete and create jobs will unencumber Nebraskan job creators and help foster needed economic growth.”
ABC’s Cornhusker Chapter is the leading voice promoting free enterprise within the construction industry in Nebraska. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, which encourages open competition and a free enterprise approach that awards contracts based solely on merit, regardless of labor affiliation, ABC exists to help members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically, profitably and for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work.
Nebraska’s second congressional district includes all of Douglas County and a portion of Sarpy County.
